DBR Staff Writer Published 22 July 2014

Switzerland-based beverage packaging provider Sidel has formed a new services business unit known as Sidel Services.

The new unit includes six teams such as maintenance, line improvement, training, spare parts & logistics, line conversions & moulds, and packaging.

It will help the beverage companies to increase the quality, efficiency, flexibility, cost optimization and brand support of the beverage products, as well as installed Sidel equipment and bottom line of beverage producers globally, the company claims.

Sidel CEO and president Mart Tiismann said in addition to introducing new technologies such as the Sidel Matrix liquid packaging system to its customers, the company has also been working hard to improve its services offering.

"When customers invest in a Sidel production line, they need and expect high levels of service to support them throughout the entire working life of the equipment," Tiismann added.

Additionally, Sidel has invested to implement practical changes that help improve the daily working lives of beverage production line operators globally.
