Riedel Crystal launches COCA-COLA + RIEDEL GLASS

DBR Staff Writer Published 10 January 2014

Riedel Crystal, an Austria-based manufacturer of grape-specific glassware to enhance the flavor of wine, has launched COCA-COLA + RIEDEL GLASS.

Developed in partnership with Coca-Cola, the new glass is Riedel's first functional glass that has been developed for non-alcoholic beverage purpose.

Inspired by the original Coca-Cola 'Contour' bottle, patented nearly 100 years ago, the COCA-COLA + RIEDEL GLASS is developed with a tasting panel that includes flavor experts with knowledge of Coca-Cola flavors.

Riedel owner Georg Riedel said, "Riedel is thrilled to be given the opportunity to develop a glass for one of the world's most valued brands, and to provide consumers with a glass that delivers the optimal Coca-Cola experience."

Coca-Cola global drinkware manager Brad Fields said that the company is so excited to unite its two category-leading brands in such a complementary way.

"We were intimately involved in the creation of this glass with Riedel and understand how vessel shape can positively affect the enjoyment of Coca-Cola. We want everyone to experience it for themselves," added Fields.
